The last two work particularly well for a gender reveal, because they set up a question the party answers.
The gender reveal version
A pumpkin theme suits a reveal better than most, because the neutral palette leaves the reveal colour as the only strong colour in the room. Three ways to do it without a smoke cannon:
- The carved pumpkin. Hollow a medium pumpkin, fill it with pink or blue balloons, and lift the lid together. Quiet, safe indoors, and it photographs well.
